There are 4 types of Love- the love of God toward us, the love of us toward God (by which we can also love others), and the love of the world- which is sin.
The love of God toward us is something we cannot fathom-it goes beyond our ability to comprehend. "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8 "Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:39 . "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16
God gave His Son as an opportunity for all, but few will overcome and enter into the Kingdom of God. Not all are predestined (called) to enter into God's rest!
He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. Revelation 21:7
God does not love all of mankind as many religious leaders proclaim!
"Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour? What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction: And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory," Romans 9:21-23
God has a special way of showing us his love and weeding out those who will not suffer as Christ , to follow in his footsteps: "As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent." Revelation 3:19
Paul did not persuade men with the 'Love of God'! "Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences." 2 Cor 5:11 This is the truth Satan does not want you to know!
Only the obediant will be loved by God! He commands us to Love Him!
And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. Deuteronomy 6:5
The second type of love is how we love God- "We love him, because he first loved us." 1 John 4:19
If ye love me, keep my commandments. John 14:15
Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations; Deuteronomy 7:9
And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it. 2 John 1:6
If we are not 100% obediant we do not love God! Jesus proclaimed " He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me." John 14:24
Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him. By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. 1 John 5:1-3
But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. 1 John 2:5
If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love. John 15:10
This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. John 15:12
And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. Mark 12:30-31
Loving others-
By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. John 13:35
In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother 1 John 3:10
Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law. Romans 13:10
But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;... For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same? Matthew 5:44, 46
"Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. " John 15:13 As the Last days church we will be faced with laying down our lives for the truth!
Paul spoke of charity (Love) as the greatest of spiritual gifts:
"Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing. Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away. When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity. 1 Corinthians 13:1-13
Love will make us perfect! and allow us to stand in the day of Judgment!
Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. 1 John 4:17-18
The fourth type is love of the World
Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 1 John 2:15
No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. Luke 16:13
For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. Timothy 6:10
And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. John 3:19
Those who love the world- and stay in the Satanic Beast system are "Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God" 2 Timothy 3:4
These will be deceived by Satan's strong delusion and believe a lie " And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 2 Thess 2:10
Here is our Christian hope. Glory Brothers!
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. Revelation 12:11
