This is another of the deceptions sent forth in mainstream 'Christian' theology- the doctrine of 'ant-christ'- that we cannot live a sinless life. I know, I know - we all stumble and are not perfect, this is the flesh!
I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin. Romans 7:25
If we press on moment by moment filled with the Holy Ghost we cannot sin! This is what we are called to be as the sons of YHWH- to say 'Why try' is a grave error!
The Bible defines sin a couple of ways:
...whatsoever [is] not of faith is sin. Romans 14:23
Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth [it] not, to him it is sin James 4:17
Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. 1 John 3:4
We are called to follow Yeshua's perfect example. Look at what He said:
...Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee. John 5:14
...Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more. John 8:11
Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. Matthew 5:48
The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect shall be as his master. Luke 6:40
This is the direct clear teaching of our Lord and Saviour- He did not tell us not to worry about sin because of grace! He wants us, as His disciples, to be PERFECT!
The Apostles taught the 'little flock' the true narrow path:
...Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you. 2 Cor 13:11
Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin; 1 Peter 4:1
What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? Romans 6:1-2
Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. Romans 6:12
Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak [this] to your shame. 1 Cor 15:34
For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. Hebrews 10:26,27
This is the plain and simple truth. We are admonished to 'be perfect' and to 'sin not'! Hear the words of the Apostle John and determine for yourself the truth about sin!
"Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him. He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God."
You may say "It is impossible not to sin!"-
But Jesus beheld [them], and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible. Matthew 19:26
This leads us back to "whatsoever is not of faith is sin." Do we have the faith of Christ to humble and submit ourselves to the Almighty God, to be obedient and to let Him live in us?
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. Galatians 2:20
When we are tempted with the lust of the flesh- we must cry out for God's help- we must not allow sin to reign or take a foothold in our lives! We MUST OVERCOME! When you are about to give in consider this:
Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin. Hebrews 12:4
